Strange Instruments

Both Bulldogs and Hogsnort started of in the skiffle genre although Bulldogs was more of a Jug Band. The new show explains the origins of this music and why people started using these weird instruments.

Actually it was mainly because of a lack of money at the start but as time went by people came to love the sound of Jug and skiffle and bands like the Nitty Gritti Dirt Band and Lonnie Donegan's group had some huge hits. Indeed the Beatles first group was a skiffle group
